of the History of Lake Gogebic:

Lake Gogebic (or "Agogebic") area - the
real Northwoods, dates back as early as the days of
the Voyageurs, including the many rustic hunting camps
and abundant wildlife
- Fishing
exploits and nationally recognized history, including
the "Black Bass Paradise" of the late 1800's,
later rise as the "Walleye Capital of the North"
and record breaking
31 ½", 18 ½ lb. walleye caught
in 1926

"Gogebic House" of the early 1900's and
it's proclaimed description of Lake Gogebic as an
"equivalent to a health sanitarium" to "cure
all that ails you" with a "happy medium
